It’s been over a calendar year since Wyatt Russell made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but his portrayal of John Walker is still being talked about by people. As one of the most prominent performers in The Hawk and the Winter SoldierThe third-generation actor is curious about where he’ll appear next. With both the recently announced Thunderbolts movie as well as the fast-paced Captain America 4 movie in development, Russell has no shortage of opportunities where he can see the American agent appear next. Even with the many avenues to take Walker, Russell admitted he’s in the dark about his own Marvel future.

While Walker’s motives remain a mystery, Russell hopes the “struggle with self” narrative will continue.
“I didn’t really think, if the character comes back, what I hope it becomes. There are so many different ways you can go with it. I just hope it continues like this no matter what, a struggle with the self,” Walker said. “This is something I can do, as I think it should be done. As long as he has this struggle within himself, he can change his mind and can undergo treatment. There are so many different ways you can go. I just hope things go in a fun way, but in a certain way, that’s I can not do nothing about it. “
The sky is the limit for Russell in the MCU, but that almost never happens. The actor revealed the pressure of playing Captain America almost made him back out of the role.
“I feel like every actor says this, but at first, I was very hesitant. And when you have someone who’s been really good at it, just do it, who’s so likable, you’ll go, ‘I don’t want to play that guy.'” This is an impossible shoe to fill.
